For more than 30 years
Welcome to Camping Noorthey! We are a genuine family campsite where hospitality, peace and personal attention have been central for more than 30 years.
Our campsite began in 1994 during a difficult period for tomato growing. To give our horticultural business a future, Bets and Irene de Ruyter decided to start a mini campsite. What began as a small initiative has, over the years, grown into the charming campsite we are proud to run today.
For a number of years now, Reinier has taken on the day-to-day management of the campsite. Meanwhile, the next generation is ready, and Camping Noorthey is being continued with great enthusiasm by daughter Elise, together with our colleagues Sandy and Jos.
Although much has changed over the years, one thing has always stayed the same: we believe it is important that our guests feel welcome. Personal contact, a friendly atmosphere and a peaceful setting are our top priorities.
Whether you come to walk, cycle, explore the surroundings or simply relax, we do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Great-grandfather starts as a market gardener on the site.
Early 1900s
Grandfather builds cold-frame greenhouses.

Father modernises the business.
Until 2013
Around 2 hectares of greenhouses: first lettuce and tomatoes, later gerberas.
1994
The campsite is started, during a period of poor tomato prices.
2013
The greenhouses are demolished for housing development.
Now
Around 25 pitches, largely car-free (except on arrival and departure).
